Research areas
The aim of Ingo Wagner's research is to help shape the future of education through innovative perspectives. One starting point for this is research on didactic staging of teaching-learning processes in order to strengthen teacher education in studies, in teacher training, and in schools.
In addition, one research focus from a (subject) didactic perspective lies on interdisciplinary school and teaching research on the STEM subjects and on physical education. General aspects such as digitization, heterogeneity, gender/diversity or the prevention of classroom disruptions and violence are given special consideration.
Close, participatory integration with practice takes place together with external cooperation partners and at the KIT through school practice-related, research-oriented teaching and interdisciplinary formative evaluations of teaching-learning laboratories in the STEM subjects and physical education.
Innovations resulting from this work are presented at regular conferences on knowledge transfer.
